Do you train outside in the winter months?Yes, there are times when we need to train inside if the weather is unbearable. Sometimes we can train outside when its's cold, we just need to dress for the occasion.

What does BLSD in BLSD Athletics stand for?BLSD in BLSD Athletics stands for Busy Little Souls Development. But for me personally, BLSD will always remind me of being BLESSED to do what I love to do.

Do I need to stay while my child is training?No, Parents do not have an obligation to stay while their child is training. As long as the child is picked up at the arranged pick-up time, the parents are free to just drop off the child.

Is sport-specific training for me?Sport-specific training focuses on the athlete and their individual strengths and weaknesses. So if you are ready to strengthen your skills and develop the correct habits, then you are ready for sport-specific training.

Should my kid continue to train if he/she makes their school team?Yes! There are a lot of benefits to continuing training. When you continue to develop the player, it benefits the team. So, the more they train, the more effective they become. Your child can continue to train for mental and physical health, skill progression, or just for fun.

Does my kid get to play in any games or scrimmages after he/she works out?Yes, there will always be opportunities throughout the month for scrimmages and gameplay.

Do I have to be good in a sport before I start training?Absolutely not! We are trained to tailor any type of workout or exercise for each and every individual. If you’re inexperienced inside the gym or the field, we will make sure that you get a clear understanding of all the sports knowledge that you need.

What if I don't know my child's skill level?We usually handle all evaluations on the first day. Once these are done we can move forward in deciding where your kid needs to start.

Will you come to us or do we have to come to you to train?Yes, we will definitely come to you if you have the space. There will be a small travel fee added to the training cost.

Can my 5-year-old start strength and conditioning?Yes! There are different ways to build strength other than using weights. There are also ways to start teaching kids proper form and technique by using repetition so that when it's time for them to start using weights, they will be a little more prepared.

Is there a sibling discount?Yes, there are discounts available for siblings and discounts if you bring a friend or friends.

Can I set up a sports training session for my kid's birthday party?Yes, If you want to set up a private session for your kid's birthday party we can put some events together so that your child can have the best sports event party ever.

Why is Strength & Conditioning important?To achieve their full potential, aspiring athletes must understand proper posture, balance, and movement patterns. Athletes must also build supporting and stabilizing muscle groups, improve mobility, and enhance their coordination.

Why is 1 on 1 and small-group training important?Every player has individual needs, and a team coach rarely has the time to work with players separately. This is where working one on one with a personal trainer is valuable and highly beneficial to a player’s effort in developing his or her skills. The benefits of working with a trainer are instrumental for a player to reach his or her personal goals. When you work with a trainer he or she can work closely with you to make sure you are engaging in the proper exercises and drills that will take your efforts to the next level.

How long does each session last?Most sessions are at least 1hr long, but there are 1.5-hour sessions and 2-hour sessions available. It just depends on what you are looking for at the time and what the kid needs.

Should my child play or train for more than one sport?Playing multiple sports allows the opportunity to develop as an athlete, not just a football, basketball, baseball, or soccer player. Skills and techniques learned from one sport transfer to other sports. The outcome of the collective training activities consistently performed by an athlete to help him/her avoid major or season-ending injury. Playing multiple sports has social, emotional, medical, and physical benefits that last for years.

What makes BLSD Athletics so different?We really care about what we do and the relationships that we build. We don't mind staying later or coming earlier just to get you what you need. If the athlete isn't improving, we feel like we didn't do our job. I pray that the people we work with are the people that we need to be investing in.

Why is Speed & Agility important?Athletes experience more success and have more confidence on their chosen field of play when they work to improve their speed and agility. They’ll react faster, move more fluidly, and make more plays.

What is Sports Training?It is a particular type of training designed to improve fitness and abilities to perform in a given sport.

What is Speed & Agility?Moving the body in one direction as fast as possible coupled with the ability to accelerate, decelerate, stabilize, and quickly change directions with proper posture.
